Tahoe SAFE Alliance is 501 c 3 non-profit agency that collaborates with local businesses, government agencies, volunteers, and supporters to create violence free communities. We are currently the only agency providing assistance to survivors of intimate partner/domestic violence and sexual violence in the North Lake Tahoe/Truckee region of California and Nevada and owns/operates the only safe house in the community. All services are free of charge and provided in both English and Spanish.
Open Enrollment for Fall Crisis Intervention Training
The class is every Tuesday and Thursday 6-9:00 pm with 3 Saturdays (9-4:00 pm) starting September 9th and ending November 4th. Click here to view the class schedule. The training covers topics such as the history of domestic violence, prosecution of domestic violence and sexual assault crimes, crisis intervention techniques, suicide prevention, and much more.
Completion of this training provides you with the opportunity to work more hands on within our programs serving community members. Opportunities include shifts on our 24-Hour Helpline, assisting staff in the Children’s Program or at the Safe House, helping provide community education and empowerment groups in the Prevention Program, or co-facilitating Support Group with our Advocates. The Community House in Kings Beach is now open to serve clients . Thank you to the Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation and all of the donors for making the dream of Community House a reality! The new address is 265 Bear Street, Kings Beach, CA. The Community House will provide an integrated service delivery model to better meet clients needs. The three anchor agencies are Tahoe SAFE Alliance, Project MANA, and North Tahoe Family Resource Center. Our offices in Incline Village, NV and Truckee remain the same.
