Silver Soiree for a Silver Anniversary; Let Dress the Party
Complete Your Look
October 14, 2013-North Lake Tahoe and Truckee: Tahoe SAFE Alliance and Project MANA announce Dress The Party is the signature sponsor of the 25th Annual Chocolate, Wine & Roses Festival for a fourth year in-a-row. Linda and Richard Offerdahl continue to support this important event that raises money for local programs such as the Mt. Rose Safe House, the 24-hour Community Helpline, violence prevention & education to school children, food distribution, and nutrition education. These critical programs help keep Tahoe and Truckee safe, healthy and fed.
“The themes for the past three years have been fresh and fun and has contributed to selling out this event,” commented Dawn Harris, Event Chairperson. “This year’s theme is the 25th Anniversary and we want to focus on that and how important this event has been to supporting our programs over the last 25 years. We are throwing a Silver Soiree in celebration of this important milestone.”
Dress the Party expects that guests attending Chocolate, Wine & Roses will want to add some glitz and glamour for this year’s 25th Anniversary celebration. Guests are encouraged to add silver and white to their look to contribute to the ambiance of the evening. Choosing what to wear to this event is going to be easy because the spectrum is broad enough that everyone can pull together the perfect look by taking stock of their summer wardrobe. Perhaps it’s the little white dress you wore to an outdoor wedding. By adding a silver sequined jacket, a tiara, or fun crystal jewelry, your look will be complete. Men, think about those white linen pants you wore last year to complete your One Night in Havana look. Add a silver shirt and tie and you will be a hit.
Next, the regency ballroom will be transformed into a twinkling silver wonderland. Ladies, consider beaded silver fabrics that sparkle, and shimmering silver that reflect the lighting in the room. Men, if you are going to up your glamour factor, consider a silver tux with black shirt, or black tux with silver shirt and tie. And, don’t forget your top hat!
Finally, don’t forget how important it is to accessorize. This applies to all because a simple accessory can actually take an ordinary outfit and complete the look with the least amount of effort. Ladies, you could be wearing the little black dress from last Friday night’s date but when you cinch your waist with a silver belt, put on some silver appliqued stockings, and crystal tiara or bold accessory in your hair, last week’s dress has become this night’s complete attire!
