The Safe House Program

The Mt. Rose Safe House is a violence-free environment for women and children leaving abusive relationships.  We offer a temporary living environment free of violence and intimidation.  Staying in the safe house gives women and children the opportunity to make a plan for the future in a safe and supportive environment.

It is an empowering program which offers a variety of services to those who want to start a life free of violence.  The staff work daily with residents to make the most of their time at the safe house.  The women are in control of their choices and their future, we simply help to facilitate the support process

The Mt. Rose Safe House is a 60-day program which can shelter up to three families.  Residents participate in case management two times a week, educational sessions one time per week and support groups one or two evenings per week.  We provide food and shelter, along with the following services:

  • Court [and mediation] Accompaniment
