Tahoe SAFE Alliance is thrilled to once again participate in the V-Day Worldwide Campaign and offer a production of Eve Ensler’s award-winning play, The Vagina Monologues. The play, which hasn’t been performed in North Lake Tahoe since 2008, plays an important role in our ongoing efforts to raise awareness and money locally for the need to end violence in relationships, families and our community. We believe that The Vagina Monologues has the ability to change lives and is an important vehicle to empower and emphasize self-confidence to women and young girls in our community.
Wine and baked goods donated by participating businesses will be available for purchase on both night’s of the performance. All money raised will support programs that reduce the incidence and trauma of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse in North Lake Tahoe and Truckee.

Dragonfly in downtown Truckee is showing its support of the V-Day celebration by offering 25% off to performance attendees on both Friday and Saturday night. Guests must show their ticket confirmation to get the discount. The Dragonfly menu is an eclectic blend of Thai, Japanese, Indian and Malaysia influences, all of which combine to create a delicious dining experience. Doors open at 5:30 pm.
