Intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and child abuse can affect rural and urban individuals of all religious, ethnicity, economic and educational backgrounds, of varying ages, physical abilities, and lifestyles.  There is NOT a typical individual who will be battered, assaulted or abused.

Tahoe SAFE Alliance believes that every person has the right to a life free from violence.  We can help you reclaim that right through support, information, compassion, accompaniment, referral and advocacy services.  Call Tahoe SAFE Alliance today .  Calling is the first step to reclaiming your right to safety.  All services are free, confidential, and provided in English and Spanish.

Services

24-Hour Community Helpline – We offer the only 24-hour/7-days-a-week crisis line in North Lake Tahoe and Truckee.

Mt. Rose Safe House and Transitional Housing – Provides up to 60 days of emergency shelter for women and children who are survivors of intimate partner violence.  Transitional housing is also available for qualified individuals.

Support Services – Provides crisis intervention, safety planning, case management, violence education, individual counseling, and support groups for both adult and child survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault and sexual harassment.

Social Services – Provides medical and mental health support and information & referrals.

Legal Services – Provides assistance with obtaining Temporary Protection/Restraining Orders, court and mediation accompaniment, and family law assistance.

Children’s Program – A comprehensive program for children who have witnessed intimate partner violence or who are a victim of abuse.  The program offers therapeutic groups and individual counseling with a licensed therapist.

Prevention & Education – Provides violence prevention and sexual harassment prevention education to schools, organizations, businesses and other community groups.
