Intimate Partner Violence

Abuse is defined as an intentional, repeated act by an intimate partner or family member that causes physical, sexual, emotional, economic or spiritual harm, usually in a predictive cycle.

Sexual Assault

One in four girls and one in six boys will be sexually assaulted by the time of age 18. More than 78% of sexual assaults are committed by someone close to the victim like a partner, family member, friend or acquaintance.

Child Abuse

A report of child abuse is made every 10 seconds in the U.S. That’s over 3 million reports made every year. Tahoe SAFE Alliance offers a comprehensive Children’s Program for children that are exposed to intimate partner violence or who are victims of abuse and neglect.

Stalking is a potentially life threatening crime and should be taken seriously. It is a course of behavior that is obsessive and harrassing that causes the victim to fear for his/her safety and the safety of their friends or family members.

Bullying is a serious problem. It can happen anywhere: face-to-face, on the Web or by text messages. It is happening everywhere in America and right here in our own community.

Human Trafficking

Human trafficking is modern-day slavery. By definition, it is the illegal trade of human beings for the purpose of reproductive slavery, commercial sexual exploitation, or forced labor.
